Welcome to the TreasureCoast Healthcare Executive Network (THEN) Web site. THEN is a independent Chapter of the American College of Healthcare Executives. We are an organization comprised of professional healthcare executives, consultants, collegiate faculty and students of healthcare administration programs. ACHE's Chapters exist are to deliver high-quality services to ACHE affiliates and other healthcare executives at the local level and THEN is committed to providing its members with meaningful and relevant education programs. In addition, we provide a forum for professional exchange and a network for career development and employment opportunities.

The value of membership in the American College of Healthcare Executives or any professional organization can never be underappreciated, in my opinion. I also believe individuals reap what they invest and investment goes beyond paying annual dues for membership in an organization. The investment of time, both volunteer and being a life-learner is more critical to the overall success of the individual.

Volunteering opportunities exist for both the junior and senior executive. For example, the senior executive engaging as a mentor can have a profound impact on the individual receiving the opportunity as well as the professional satisfaction of changing someone's life. For the junior executive or student of a graduate program, joining a committee or getting involved in local Chapter activities aligns the individual with more senior executives and provides a taste of responsibility and realism with a support structure.

The financial commitment to participate in educational forums produces dividends that might not be realized for years, as they might be cumulative, hence the life-learner concept. In addition, we live in such a dynamic business and regulatory environment that we cannot afford to stop learning or we risk immediately falling behind. Invest in yourself and you will be investing in your organization.

We measure our success based on feedback from our members, Chapter performance objectives and Chapter Excellence indicators.

Relevant - adding value for our members

Meaningful - providing content that positively impacts financial results and career effectiveness

Realistic - must be attainable

Robust - increase membership activity

Projection - improve communication and marketing of chapter and events including electronic media, sponsorship and working more closely with healthcare organizations in the marketplace

Accountable - BOD members will be accountable for delivering on the goals established by ACHE

Education Committee - Responsible for coordinating, planning, and providing education programs and networking opportunities to members.

Communications Committee - Responsible for chapter communications through quarterly newsletter preparations and chapter website.

Sponsorship Committee - Responsible for organizing, recruiting and promoting the value of THEN to potential business partners in the Chapter area.

Board of Directors - Nominations for directors will begin Fall 2011
